Happy Birthday Mel, Dad and Grandpa. October 23 rd Mel turned 56. We were planning a night out on the town Friday the 24th, but things changed. Mel had taken the day off and do somethings he had wanted. He started a project for me for the stake primary . Cutting wood blocks and had an accident. He cut his thumb on a 45 degree angle, taking abt 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the top. Luckily Loren was home and ran him into ER. After all was said and done 30 stitches later,Mel is recovering. Doctor said 3 to 4 weeks off work, which probably doesn't make him to sad. Mel had a hard first 3 days, but is doing better now. Sunday Bren and family came for dinner and birthday cake.. Certainly a birthday we won't forget.
