Weekend getaway. We spent Friday night at Ruby's Inn. We went to the tail end of the rodeo. We watched the cow roping event.These local cowboys and their sons couldn't rope one, the cows would duck their heads and zig zag around them. Mel thought it was

very funny. Sat morning we went to see Fairyland just before you get to the pay station. We did some hiking and saw a Antelope. Then continued to visit Anita Fletcher then to Dad's grave at Georgetown. Dad's father David Newton Mangum settled Georgetown. Dad-Don Mangum and his brothers farmed the 120 acres. They got water out of Yellow Creek to irrigate. When hard times came they sold the farm and moved to Kayenta ,Az. Here are a few pictures of the homestead.

This is Chimney Rock, out in the middle of now where. We spent some time at Kodachrome State Park. We found this arch, called Shakespear Arch. Nice little hike. We had a great time. Had some troubles with the car

power steering and radiator, but Mel handled it , and we got home safely, with our Heavenly Fathers help. Was a great trip ready for the next one..
